About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Developer to join our dynamic Member Services team at Brightwell. This pivotal role involves the configuration, support, and ongoing development of the IntelliPen Pensions Administration platform. As a Senior Systems Developer, you will work closely with internal teams, third-party partners, and stakeholders to ensure the platform's continuous enhancement, stability, and alignment with business objectives. Your expertise will help drive system improvements, optimize functionality, and deliver a seamless experience for our members and operational staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pensions administration systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technological innovation.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in supporting and developing defined benefit pensions administration systems. A strong technical background with advanced SQL skills is essential, along with familiarity with platforms such as IntelliPen or similar systems. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of delivering technology enhancements that improve operational efficiency and member outcomes. A solid understanding of system configuration, testing methodologies, and change management processes is required. Additionally, effective communication skills and the ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels are vital. Relevant qualifications in computer science, information technology, or related fields are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance core IntelliPen platform functionalities, including workflows, reporting, document generation, member portals, calculations, and system integrations to meet evolving business needs.
- Provide expert technical support to development teams and operational staff, resolving incident reports and complex system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with internal change management, project teams, and external partners to deliver system improvements and new features, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Work alongside the QA Lead to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable system releases.
- Assist in planning development roadmaps, managing sprint cycles, and supporting a continuous delivery approach to ensure timely project delivery.
- Produce detailed development reports and analyze system performance metrics to demonstrate the impact and value of enhancements.
- Ensure all development activities adhere to Brightwell's standards, governance policies, and compliance requirements to maintain system integrity and security.
- Take ownership of solution design, implementation, and documentation, while mentoring colleagues and providing technical leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
