Mansfield District Council - Systems Development Officer
Mansfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Development Officer to join the team based in Mansfield - Civic Centre. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,598 - £33,699 per annum (pay award pending).

About the Role
We’re looking for a Systems Development Officer to join our Systems Administration Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and developing the systems that underpin the delivery of essential Revenues and Benefits services.
As a Systems Development Officer, you will provide technical support for the maintenance, testing, and day-to-day operation of a range of software applications used across Revenues and Benefits services. You will help ensure our systems run efficiently and accurately while supporting staff across the service.

Working closely with the Systems Team Leader, service colleagues, software suppliers, and third-party providers, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services across areas such as Council Tax, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction, and Business Rates (NNDR).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the maintenance, testing, and operation of software applications.
- Ensure systems run efficiently and accurately.
- Support staff across the service.
- Collaborate with Systems Team Leader, service colleagues, software suppliers, and third-party providers.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.
Requirements
- Technically capable and customer-focused.
- Strong ICT skills.
- Experience of working with specialist software systems, including document management systems, ideally within a Revenues, Benefits, or similar service environment.
- Confident problem-solver with excellent analytical abilities.
- Ability to understand and support information systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
