About The Job

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to design, build and deploy Real-time Information Systems and Solutions that help our clients get greater value from their data and technology.

Working closely with clients, you’ll understand their requirements and challenges, translating these into effective technical solutions that deliver tangible business benefits. You’ll primarily work with the AVEVA PI System and associated components, using your technical expertise to develop, implement and enhance real-time information solutions.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting client systems throughout their lifecycle, providing ongoing development, maintenance and technical guidance to ensure solutions continue to deliver long-term value.

You Will

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake a wide range of tasks related to the design, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of Real-time Information Systems solutions.
  • Work with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to the needs of the clients.
  • Support and provide long term development and maintenance of clients’ systems.
  • Produce Requirements Specifications and input to Design Specifications.
  • Develop and execute Test Specifications.
  • Design and develop applications as part of Real-time Information Systems, principally using the AVEVA PI System.
  • Give clear, effective updates to Project Managers on status of their work.
  • Work with Senior Engineers and team to review and clarify client requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve problems with Real-time Information Systems.
  • Set up and install RtIS (PI) servers and Interface nodes.
  • Build displays in PI vision and set up.
  • Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration.
  • Clearly articulate an understanding of the application of real time systems in an industrial OT environment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post.
  • Successfully complete all identified training both in-house and external, as required.

Summary Of Requirements

We are looking for:

Experience And Knowledge

  • Good Knowledge of the AVEVA PI System
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computing related degree.

Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and deliver high quality results
  • Ability to multi-task, working on various issues throughout the working day.
