About The Role
We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our team at Copello. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and lifecycle management of defence equipment. As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions meet contractual and operational requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the full engineering lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance. The role involves producing detailed engineering documentation, supporting bid activities, and conducting impact assessments to ensure technical integrity and compliance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline. Relevant qualifications include a degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field. Candidates should have prior experience working within defence or aerospace industries, demonstrating familiarity with requirements engineering, systems architecture, and verification and validation processes. Knowledge of lifecycle governance, change management, and multidisciplinary project delivery is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are also required to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of defence equipment to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and industry standards.
- Produce comprehensive engineering documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and technical reports, supporting the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Contribute to bid and proposal activities by providing technical input, impact assessments, and cost estimates.
- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and technical assurance activities to verify the integrity and performance of systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, and systems integration engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Manage system requirements and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support change management processes by assessing impacts and implementing technical modifications as needed.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and incorporate best practices into engineering processes.
