A Systems Engineer is required to join an innovative engineering business developing advanced train-borne monitoring and intelligent technology solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full systems engineering lifecycle, supporting the development of complex electronic systems from concept through to customer deployment.

This role would suit an engineer with experience in systems engineering, technical bids, systems integration, or multidisciplinary engineering, looking to work on cutting-edge rail technology within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop system architectures, high-level designs, and engineering documentation.
  • Capture and manage customer requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support technical bids, proposals, compliance matrices, and engineering estimates.
  • Coordinate the integration of hardware, software, and communication systems.
  • Produce interface specifications and support verification and validation activities.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Identify technical risks and contribute to project planning and delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
