What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Designing end-to-end systems architecture that aligns with business objectives and technical constraints
- Evaluating and recommending technology solutions across cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure
- Collaborating with stakeholders, product teams and engineering groups to translate requirements into scalable architectures
- Documenting system designs, technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
- Supporting the delivery and deployment of architected solutions
- Mentoring team members and contributing to technical standards and best practices
- Conducting reviews and assessments of existing systems to identify improvements and optimisation opportunities

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- 5–8 years of experience in systems architecture, solutions architecture or enterprise software engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud architecture and infrastructure design (AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification is valued)
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, scalability and resilience patterns
- Experience designing solutions across multiple technology domains
- Excellent stakeholder communication and the ability to translate technical complexity for non-technical audiences
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
