Systems Engineer - Oxford - £75K
A leading global space technology company is looking for a Systems Engineer to join its team in Oxford, working on the design, integration and testing of advanced sensor and communication payloads for satellite systems.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on complex, cutting-edge space technology from initial requirements and architecture through to integration, testing and delivery of flight equipment.
The Role Will Involve
- Capturing and managing engineering requirements
- Developing system architectures and concepts of operation
- Managing system budgets including power, mass and link budgets
- Working with customers, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Planning and overseeing integration and test campaigns
- Analysing performance and test data, troubleshooting issues and producing reports
- Supporting reliability, FDIR and FMECA activities

They’re Looking For
- 5 years' experience designing, manufacturing and testing complex systems
- Experience working with systems designed for space environments
- Experience with formal configuration control and qualification/acceptance testing
- Strong systems engineering and problem-solving skills

Experience with optics, optical sensors, opto-mechanical assemblies or Zemax OpticStudio would be particularly beneficial. Knowledge of RF/wireless communications, ECSS standards and hands-on manufacturing, assembly and test experience would also be advantageous.
