Our mission is to protect people, devices and data everywhere and we're looking for a talented Systems Engineer to help us deliver on that mission across the UK's Service Provider market.
We're looking for a customer-focused Systems Engineer to support our UK Service Provider business, working alongside our sales teams to engage directly with leading telecommunications service providers and network operators. In this customer-facing pre-sales role, you'll partner directly with customers to design, position and demonstrate Fortinet's market-leading cybersecurity solutions across large-scale, carrier-grade environments.
Our roles span specialisms including multi-tenant security architectures, SOC technologies, cloud security, SASE, SD-WAN, and broader cybersecurity design for service delivery. We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the partners and customers we support.
As a Systems Engineer at Fortinet, you'll be a trusted technical advisor to our customers and account teams, working closely throughout the sales cycle to drive adoption of Fortinet's industry-leading security solutions. You'll play a key role from discovery and solution design through to proof-of-concept and deployment, helping Service Provider customers solve complex security and networking challenges with confidence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead technical engagements across the sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, presentations and proof-of-concepts (PoCs)
- Partner directly with telecommunications service providers and network operators to understand their business and technical requirements, translating these into effective Fortinet solutions
- Design and position scalable, carrier-grade security architectures across networking, cloud and security environments
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations, architecture workshops and whiteboarding sessions to both technical and executive audiences
- Work cross-functionally with customers, internal account teams and Fortinet specialists to ensure successful solution delivery
- Maintain deep expertise across Fortinet's portfolio, industry trends and emerging cybersecurity threats
- Support RFI/RFP responses and ensure accurate technical documentation within Salesforce
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues and sharing best practices across the wider Systems Engineering organisation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Experience in a pre-sales engineering, technical consulting or customer-facing technical role
- Experience supporting telecommunications service providers, network operators or other large-scale Service Provider environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies including Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SOC technologies and Cloud Security
- An understanding of carrier-grade networking, multi-tenant architectures, MPLS/IP networking, managed security services or large-scale service delivery environments would be advantageous
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- A desire to contribute to a high-performing and inclusive team
- Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE/FCP, CISSP, CCNP or equivalent are an advantage
