Infrastructure & Network Engineer
Role Overview
Infrastructure & Network Engineer in Central London paying up to 70k + Bonus required by a Creative Agency that is over 40 years old that are about to expand by acquisition and start a major technical refresh, you must be confident enough in your experience to be able to go to sites, scope, evaluate, propose and role out infrastructure projects, including refreshes and migrations. You will be responsible for Wintel Servers, Cloud and on-prem, network, Cisco and Fortinet, IT security such as Palo Alto.
Key Responsibilities

Team and Reporting:
- Join a team of 11, reporting to the IT Manager.
- Own the infrastructure network across permanent offices and around temporary locations.

Location Management:
- Setting up locations fast.
- Project, shoot and event locations open quickly and move often. You'll order and deploy connectivity, including 4G routers, so each one is online and secure without delay.
- When locations move or close, you'll coordinate the relocation of the kit, cancel the circuits and manage equipment returns, keeping costs under control.

Daily Operations:
- Run daily checks on network health, alerts, capacity and performance. Report fortnightly to the IT Manager and Head of IT.
- Resolve complex network and infrastructure incidents, and keep every office and location running for business continuity and DR.

Vendor Management:
- Manage ISPs and MSPs, and know exactly what to expect from them.
- Work with the SOC team on security incidents and monitor the firewall estate.

Inventory and Compliance:
- Keep a current inventory of hardware, software, licences, configurations and warranties.

Requirements
- Hands on experience with firewalls, switches, routers and WiFi.
- Wintel servers, Active Directory and Azure. Practical knowledge of CCTV and MFD printers.
- Experience of multi site networks, supplier management and setting up standalone locations quickly.
- A calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting, and clear communication with suppliers and senior IT leaders.
