The Role

Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.

What you'll do

  • Investigate complex application and production issues using logs, databases, interfaces, batch processes, and system behavior.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents, data discrepancies, and system issues.
  • Trace end-to-end data flows across applications, databases, APIs, file transfers, and downstream systems.
  • Analyze data processing, transformation rules, and system dependencies to identify where issues occur.
  • Work with development, infrastructure, vendors, and business teams to investigate issues and document data lineage.
  • Read and interpret existing code, scripts, and configurations to understand application behavior and support technical investigations.

What you bring

  • Strong experience in L2/L3 application support, production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience reading existing scripts and code.
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting such as Bash, Korn Shell, or PowerShell; Java, or similar languages would be beneficial.
  • Experience analyzing databases, logs, APIs, interfaces, file transfers, and batch processes.
  • Understanding of data flows, data lineage, transformation logic, and system dependencies across complex environments.
  • Experience with financial services or enterprise applications, ideally including Murex, Calypso, Summit, FIS Front Arena, trading platforms, or capital markets systems.
