Working Pattern: On-site Position

Security Requirements: UK Nationals Only

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Performance Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on the development of advanced defence technologies.

This role focuses on assessing and predicting system performance through mathematical modelling, simulation and technical analysis. You'll play a key role in helping engineering teams understand how design decisions influence overall system behaviour and performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Working alongside specialists across aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance, navigation, control, sensors and systems engineering, you'll contribute to the development of highly complex products operating across air, land and maritime environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical studies to assess overall system performance.
  • Develop and analyse mathematical models of complex engineering systems.
  • Evaluate the impact of design changes on system behaviour and performance.
  • Support requirements development, verification and certification activities.
  • Perform simulation and modelling studies to assess performance against key indicators.
  • Analyse and interpret large datasets generated through modelling activities.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Produce technical reports and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product verification, validation and ongoing capability development activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
