WeDoData is a specialist recruitment company whose focus is non-teaching support (IT, data, finance etc) in the education sector.

We’re working exclusively with a training provider in the East of England, where the Director is looking for an experienced Reporting & Systems Team Leader to manage a small remote team and take responsibility for the development and improvement of reporting and MIS systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the technical side of data and reporting, but is also comfortable managing people and working with teams across an organisation.

You’ll be responsible for developing reports and dashboards, improving existing systems and making sure people have access to accurate, useful information when they need it. The role will involve working with SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI and other Microsoft technologies, as well as supporting the development of learner record and MIS systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
