Typical Activities
Working in collaboration with customers, Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, Product and Programme teams, the Systems Technical Lead will provide hands-on technical leadership for the definition, design and delivery of complex, integrated solutions operating within secure and regulated environments.
You Will
- Act as the overall technical lead for assigned projects, owning the technical direction, systems engineering approach and solution architecture
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across systems, software, firmware, hardware and test to ensure coherent solution delivery
- Lead the development of system architectures, operational concepts, interface definitions and solution designs
- Act as the technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challenges
- Ensure solutions meet customer, operational, security, assurance and regulatory requirements
- Lead technical, design and system reviews while building trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Support project planning, estimation, technical proposals and bids, identifying technical risks, dependencies and appropriate mitigations
- Maintain alignment and traceability between customer requirements, system design, implementation, verification and validation
- Support system integration, acceptance, assurance, accreditation and transition into service
- Mentor engineers, contribute to systems engineering best practice and help grow PentenAmio's wider systems engineering capability

What We're Looking For
- A strong systems engineering background with experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary systems
- Proven experience providing technical leadership across integrated hardware, software and engineering solutions
- Experience developing system architectures, operational concepts, interface definitions and technical roadmaps
- Experience working within secure, accredited or regulated environments
- Strong ability to translate customer and operational needs into system architectures, solution designs and delivery strategies
- Experience defining integration strategies across complex systems and environments
- Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycles, requirements management and engineering governance
- Experience defining verification, validation and acceptance strategies for complex systems
- Broad understanding of software, hardware, networking and cyber security principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and senior stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience developing system-of-systems architectures and integrating complex digital capabilities
- Experience supporting system assurance, accreditation and acceptance activities
- Experience providing technical leadership across multiple projects and engineering disciplines
- Experience coaching and mentoring systems engineers and contributing to the development of engineering standards and best practices
- Knowledge of security-by-design principles and secure systems development

Qualifications & Eligibility
To Be Eligible For This Position You Must
- Have significant professional systems engineering experience, including experience providing technical leadership for complex, multidisciplinary engineering solutions;
- Be a British citizen; and
- Hold or be eligible for UK National Security Vetting (NSV) - SC level clearance. Existing or eligibility for DV clearance would be advantageous.
