Hardware System Test Engineer

This Hardware System Test Engineer role focuses on end-to-end testing of complex hardware systems used in AI acceleration. The Hardware System Test Engineer will work across factory test and field-deployed system environments. The Hardware System Test Engineer will support reliable product performance through hands-on hardware and software-driven testing.

Responsibilities

  • Test complete hardware systems from initial power-on through full operational behavior
  • Diagnose hardware faults related to manufacturing defects, assembly issues, and system-level reliability
  • Support both factory-based PCB/system test and field-level system deployment checks
  • Architect test plans and run automated and manual tests across full system racks and accelerator units
  • Investigate intermittent, environment-dependent, and multi-component issues
  • Work with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve defects
  • Maintain and improve test frameworks, scripts, and tools
  • Document test results clearly for internal engineering teams

Requirements

  • Experience testing hardware systems or complex electronic assemblies
  • Ability to work across hardware, software, and system-level interfaces
  • Practical lab skills, including use of basic instrumentation
  • Comfortable debugging issues spanning boards, cables, sensors, firmware, and system controls
  • Strong problem-solving skills with methodical test planning
  • Ability to write scripts and small tools for automation (any language acceptable)

Desirable

  • Background in data-centre hardware, server systems, or accelerator platforms
  • Experience with factory test methods such as JTAG, boundary scan, or system-level diagnostics
  • Exposure to both manufacturing test and field-deployed hardware environments
  • Interest in hardware/software hobby projects or hands-on engineering outside formal work
