Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Table Saw Operator role based in the Greater Glasgow Area. The Table Saw Operator will safely set up, operate, and maintain table saws and related cutting equipment to produce metal and façade components according to technical drawings and work orders. The role involves handling materials, organizing workstations, following safety procedures and PPE requirements, and collaborating with supervisors and production colleagues to meet production schedules. The operator will also assist with basic machine cleaning, routine maintenance checks, and accurate documentation of work completed.

Qualifications

  • Strong machine operation skills, including experience with industrial cutting or fabrication equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and working with various saws, including table saws and band saws.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation or material handling equipment, or willingness to obtain relevant certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including safe lifting practices, PPE usage, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Good attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to maintain consistency in repetitive tasks.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a production team.
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar workshop environment is preferred.
