Description
As Tableau Developer, you will lead the development and stewardship of William Reed’s finance and commercial reporting capability within Tableau, ensuring the availability of accurate, governed, and meaningful business information.
Your impact will be felt in enabling effective decision-making, performance management, and improving understanding of business performance across Finance, Commercial, and Operational functions. Through the provision of trusted data and insight, you will contribute to business efficiency, informed strategic planning, and the achievement of organizational objectives.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and continuously improving our Tableau reporting and business intelligence capability to deliver accurate, consistent, and accessible insights
- Translating complex and evolving business requirements into meaningful reporting and performance measures with clear definitions and standards
- Ensuring the integrity, governance, security, and traceability of reporting data and business intelligence solutions through appropriate controls and documentation
- Leading the ongoing enhancement of reporting capabilities to improve insight, automation, efficiency, and access to information
- Managing complex data relationships and reporting structures to maintain scalable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose reporting solutions
- Building effective relationships across Finance, Commercial, Technology, and external partners to achieve agreed reporting outcomes
- Supporting senior stakeholders with management information, performance insight, and analysis for operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making
- Providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and subject matter expertise to facilitate effective adoption and use of reporting capabilities
- Maintaining organizational knowledge of reporting data, definitions, and business intelligence solutions to support continuity of service

What You’ll Need

- Strong experience designing, developing, and optimizing Tableau dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions that translate complex data into actionable business insight
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and semantic layer design, including scalable reporting databases, data warehouses, and self-service reporting environments
- Experience integrating and transforming data from multiple sources through ETL processes, APIs, and modern data integration technologies
- Proven experience translating business requirements into meaningful KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks while working effectively with stakeholders to support effective decision-making
- Good insight into financial, commercial, and operational performance drivers and reporting solutions that provide visibility of performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
- Solid awareness of reporting and data governance, data quality, master data management, security, and data lineage principles
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively and build relationships across teams to influence reporting standards and effective use of information
