Data visualization developer with Tableau experience job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Build, test, and publish interactive reports and dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Server.
  • Data Preparation: Connect to various data sources, write SQL queries, and perform data modelling, cleaning, and transformation.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize dashboard loading speeds, manage Tableau extracts (Hyper files), and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Meet with business teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into visual solutions.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Tableau (Desktop, Prep, Server/Cloud), strong SQL skills, and familiarity with relational databases or data warehouses (BigQuery, etc.).
  • Design & Storytelling: Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, visual best practices, and data storytelling.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: Typically 7+ years of professional experience in data visualization or business intelligence.
  • Good communication skills and team worker.
