Tactical Planning Manager

Location: London (5 Days Onsite)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 70-80K
Language: English

Overall Purpose of the Job

  • Developing and delivering quarterly sales campaigns, including national promotions and volume bonus programmes
  • Monitoring company and competitor performance to identify market trends and opportunities
  • Working with logistics teams to plan and maintain vehicle stock levels
  • Managing and updating the annual sales plan to reflect changing business needs
  • Producing sales campaign communications and dealer network updates
  • Developing sales forecasts across all models and channels, from short to long-term planning
  • Tracking performance against forecasts and recommending actions to achieve sales targets
  • Acting as an internal market expert, providing insight and support across the business
  • Creating and developing customer offers across finance, insurance, and service products
  • Working closely with finance partners to support customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Supporting new vehicle launches with competitive retail and Motability offers
  • Reviewing contribution margins, incentive spend, and contract costs to ensure commercial objectives are met
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders across Product, Planning, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams

  • Strong commercial awareness and a passion for using data and market insights to influence business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
  • Commercial experience gained within either a head office or field-based environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident presenting information and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong numerical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach to work
  • Motor industry experience and a strong understanding of the automotive market
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
