Step into a leadership role where your retail security expertise and ability to lead from the front make a real impact.

Kingdom Services Group are proud to be a trusted security partner to Tesco Supermarkets, and we're looking for an experienced TSU Team Leader to oversee and support our Tactical Support Unit across the retail estate. This is an operational leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can coordinate intelligence-led deployments, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams.

Pay

£17.44 per hour

£41,000 per annum (pro rata)

Location

Field-based role with travel between assigned Tesco stores and operational locations.

Hours

Flexibility is required to meet operational requirements, including evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods.

About The Role

This is not a standard security role.

As a TSU Team Leader, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of intelligence-led mobile retail security operations across your assigned area. You'll manage and support a team of TSU Officers, coordinate deployments with Tesco's Security Operations Centre (SOC), store management teams, and Kingdom leadership, while ensuring operational excellence, high-quality reporting, and strong client relationships.

You will be responsible for driving team performance, maintaining operational standards, and demonstrating the value and effectiveness of Tactical Support Unit activity through strong leadership and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, brief, and support TSU Officers before, during, and after deployments.
  • Set clear objectives, standards, and expectations for operational delivery.
  • Coordinate daily deployment plans based on intelligence, risk, and store priorities.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, welfare, conduct, and operational readiness.
  • Coach and develop officers in observation, communication, conflict management, lawful intervention, evidence handling, and report writing.
  • Identify training needs and support colleague development.
  • Promote a professional, accountable, and respectful team culture aligned with Kingdom's CARE values.
  • Recognise and encourage high performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
