THE POSITION

We are currently looking for a proactive, confident, and highly organised Associate Sourcing Manager to join our Purchasing team on a contract basis for 12 months. This role would suit someone with previous Purchasing / Procurement experience who enjoys coordinating activities, following up on actions, and keeping processes moving efficiently.

This role requires a minimum of 2 days per week in Head Office (Winnersh).

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tactical Procurement Support

  • Carry out contract management administration, ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and managed in line with internal processes.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding activities, following up with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep actions moving forward.
  • Support RFx administration, including document preparation, coordination of supplier responses, and tracking of timelines.
  • Provide general procurement process support, helping the team manage tactical activities efficiently and consistently.

Supplier and Business Partner Coordination

  • Communicate professionally with suppliers and business partners, ensuring requests are handled clearly and followed through to completion.
  • Maintain strong organisation across multiple activities at the same time, tracking actions, owners, and deadlines.
  • Escalate issues appropriately where progress is blocked, while continuing to drive resolution wherever possible.

Compliance and Follow Up

  • Analyse PO compliance reports and follow up with relevant business partners to understand root causes and support corrective actions.
  • Help ensure procurement processes are followed consistently, providing guidance and support where needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in Purchasing / Procurement.
  • Experience supporting tactical procurement activities such as supplier onboarding, RFx administration, contract administration, or PO follow up.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple topics, deadlines, and follow-up actions simultaneously.
  • Proactive and persistent approach, with confidence to chase actions and keep activities moving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail and confidence working with procurement systems, reports, and process documentation.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident communicating with different stakeholders, and comfortable taking ownership of follow-up activities through to completion.
