We're recruiting for a specialist travel company with an excellent reputation for designing bespoke long-haul and multi-centre holidays for discerning travellers. Every itinerary is tailor-made, every enquiry is warm and inbound, and every sale gives you the opportunity to use your expertise, creativity and commercial flair to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This is an ideal opportunity for a consultant who thrives on building relationships, creating personalised travel experiences and enjoys earning strong commission through high-quality sales rather than high-pressure cold calling.
The Opportunity
You'll work with well-travelled clients looking for memorable, carefully curated holidays, typically with a spend of £3,000+ per person. From the first enquiry through to booking, you'll take ownership of the customer journey, building trust and creating itineraries that exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Converting warm inbound enquiries into bookings
- Designing bespoke long-haul and multi-centre itineraries tailored to individual clients
- Managing customers from initial enquiry through to booking and handover
- Building strong relationships to generate repeat and referral business
- Achieving monthly conversion and margin targets
- Providing expert advice and destination recommendations

What’s On Offer
- Basic salary up to £30,000
- Realistic OTE in excess of £55,000 with top performers earning £60,000+
- Pension scheme
- 21 days annual leave, increasing with length of service

Working Pattern
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week across a rota that includes a weekend day.
Opening Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 8.00pm
- Weekends: 9.00am to 5.30pm
Required
A mixture of early and late shifts is required to take your share with your team mates, typically a mix of:
- 9.00am to 5.30pm
- 11.30am to 8.00pm
Location & Flexibility
The head office is based in Stevenage, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates living across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas who would like a hybrid working arrangement.
For candidates with proven experience in the same specialist travel sector, fully remote working may also be considered. Please discuss with us.
About You
We're keen to hear from travel professionals who can demonstrate:
Essential
- Minimum three years' experience in travel sales
- Experience selling tailor-made holidays rather than standard package holidays
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills
- A customer-focused and consultative approach
- Familiarisation and use of travel CRM systems
- Long-haul and multi-centre experience
