Police Scotland is recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Advisor

Police Scotland is recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to play a vital role in recruiting the talented people who keep our organisation running.

About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will support the end-to-end recruitment of Police Scotland Staff, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to attract and appoint the right people to a diverse range of specialist and professional roles in business areas such as Finance, Legal, HR, Estates and Digital.

This is a great opportunity to use your Talent Acquisition skillset and experience in a role that directly contributes to the people and services that support policing across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist by sourcing, assessing and successfully placing candidates in Police Staff roles in the organisation
  • Provide end-to-end recruitment process working closely with multiple hiring managers across the organisation, including advertising, direct sourcing of candidates, managing advert responses, evaluating applications as well as supporting interviews
  • Ensure effective administrative support, aiding successful delivery of the staff recruitment service across the force; ensure positive candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process; provide line management support for a team of recruitment administrators

Preferred Qualifications

Preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who demonstrate:

  • 360° recruitment experience
  • Senior stakeholder liaison up to HoD level
  • Leading on recruitment campaigns
  • Providing detailed reporting from e-recruitment systems
  • Deputising for senior colleagues in their absence
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand, shape and create effective recruitment campaigns
  • Engaging, developing and building recruitment brands
  • Training and development of colleagues on end-to-end recruitment processes
  • Maintaining recruitment applicant tracking systems
  • Tracking recruitment metrics and presenting to stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers, department heads and other stakeholders
  • Current up-to-date knowledge of market trends, industry salary standards and competitor hiring practices
  • Current up-to-date knowledge of employment law legislation for all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Experience delivering stakeholder recruitment workshops and presentations
