About Skills for Security

At Skills for Security, we are passionate about creating meaningful career opportunities within the fire and security industry. We are looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Executive to help apprentices take their first steps into an exciting new career.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced, varied role that combines recruitment, candidate support, and apprenticeship onboarding. You will manage your own caseload from first application through to programme start, ensuring every apprentice and employer receives a professional, supportive, and seamless experience.

This is a hybrid role, therefore candidates should live within commutable distance to Warrington, Watford, or Walsall.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Review applications
  • Speak with prospective apprentices
  • Support them with CVs and interview preparation
  • Match the right people to employer vacancies
  • Build strong relationships with applicants, employers, schools, colleges, and referral partners
  • Promote apprenticeship opportunities and achieve our learner-start targets
  • Lead the onboarding journey for candidates, including:
    • Completing sign-up calls
    • Gathering and checking documentation
    • Issuing contracts
    • Supporting Apprenticeship Service processes
    • Working closely with Compliance and Apprenticeship Delivery teams
  • Keep HubSpot and other systems up to date
  • Spot risks early
  • Chase outstanding actions
  • Provide clear progress updates to the Apprentice Recruitment and Onboarding Lead
  • Support events, networking activity, and improvements to the recruitment and onboarding process

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in apprenticeship recruitment and/or apprenticeship onboarding
  • Experience managing a busy recruitment, onboarding, or customer caseload
  • Confidence in communicating with a wide range of people
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines without losing attention to detail
  • Enjoy solving problems and taking ownership
  • Delivering a brilliant experience for both applicants and employers

Advantages but not essential:

  • Experience of apprenticeship funding, eligibility, or compliance requirements
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Experience working with schools, colleges, and employer partners

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to local centres or events
