Job Description

The dual nature of this role means that you will act as Group Lead for Talent Acquisition and Recruitment for the group (College and Prep School) and People Partner to the Prep School. You will split your time between sites near Hook and Eversley with one day per week from home.

Our client operates and manages a co-ed independent boarding and day College near Hook as well as a Prep School near Eversley.

Description

The Talent Acquisition and People Partner will act as a trusted advisor, providing professional expertise and support across the entire employee lifecycle to staff at both a College near Hook and a Prep School near Eversley.

The dual nature of this role means that you will act as Group Lead for Talent Acquisition and Recruitment for the group (College and Prep School) and People Partner to the Prep School.

Working proactively and collaboratively, the post-holder will design and deliver innovative, people-focused solutions that align with the strategic aims of the Prep School, helping to shape a best-in-class People function across the Group.

This role will play a key part in embedding consistent, robust, and effective HR practices across all aspects of the employee journey, ensuring the overall college remains an exceptional place to work and thrive.

Group Talent Acquisition Lead

  • Lead talent acquisition and recruitment strategy across the Group, ensuring the attraction, selection and onboarding of high-quality staff.
  • Develop innovative recruitment campaigns and sourcing strategies to support hard-to-fill and specialist vacancies.
  • Analyse recruitment metrics and market trends to inform workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment partners, agencies and external providers.

People Partnering

  • Acts as a strategic and hands-on People Partner for staff at the Prep School, driving business performance through compliant people practices and implement people plans that align with the group's strategy.
  • Establish robust People and Compliance processes as required, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide relevant people management information and insightful analysis highlighting activity and issues and help to develop appropriate interventions.
  • Work with leadership teams to identify talent and to implement appraisals, succession plans and talent management/development initiatives.
  • Develop close working relationships internally and externally to enable a culture of collaboration, and, in doing so, ensure that the department works in a similar fashion towards an inclusive culture and learning environment.

On average, this role will require the post-holder to spend two days per week at both the Hook and Eversley sites, with one day working from home.

Profile

To apply for the role of Talent Acquisition and People Partner, your profile will closely match the following:

  • Both a strategic talent acquisition perspective alongside a traditional HR Business/People Partner background - both are essential.
  • Strong understanding across a broad spectrum of HR specialisms and functions (learning and development, recruitment, reward, employee relations).
  • Experience of embedding robust end to end People processes, including People Compliance routines.
  • Experience of using data and insight to communicate and influence decision making within the business.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading recruitment and talent acquisition activity, including senior, specialist and hard-to-fill appointments.
  • Experience of developing recruitment strategies, employer branding initiatives.
  • Hold a strong understanding of the importance of Safeguarding and Child Protection.
  • Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion practices.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
  • Experience of supporting projects or business change activity.
  • Attention to detail & accuracy.
  • CIPD membership or equivalent experience.
