Invest & Fund is one of the UK’s leading specialist lenders in asset-backed property development finance. To date, we’ve lent over £600 million into UK property development and returned more than £400 million in capital and interest to our lenders, with no losses of capital or interest to date.

Over the past eighteen months, we’ve built and scaled our Institutional and Homes England funding channels into significant and rapidly growing sources of capital.

We’re now at an inflection point: scaling our lender base, deepening institutional funding relationships and growing the team behind that growth.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Lead to own our talent pipeline and ensure we have the right people in the business at the right time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This isn’t about waiting for vacancies to land. We want someone who knows the market, actively identifies great people and builds relationships with them before we need to hire.

The role

You’ll own recruitment end-to-end, working directly with our Executive Committee and hiring managers to:

  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines
  • Directly source and headhunt strong candidates
  • Map the market and track competitor talent movement
  • Advise on hiring priorities, candidate availability and market pay
  • Manage recruitment from brief through to offer and onboarding
  • Manage agency relationships where needed, while reducing our reliance on them
  • Provide clear recruitment reporting and market intelligence to ExCo
  • Support broader employee lifecycle activity where required

About you

You’ll be an experienced in-house recruiter or Talent Acquisition professional with a strong track record of proactive sourcing and direct candidate engagement.

You’ll be confident working with senior stakeholders, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for a brief.

Financial Services or regulated-sector experience would be advantageous, as would some broader HR generalist experience.

Why join us?

You’ll be joining at an important point in Invest & Fund’s growth, with the opportunity to shape how we find, attract and hire the people who will help build the next stage of the business.

You’ll have direct access to senior decision-makers, genuine ownership of recruitment and the freedom to build a proactive talent function rather than simply manage vacancies.
