About The Role & Team

We are seeking a proactive and commercially aware Talent Acquisition Manager to source, select and hire talent to London Square. Working closely with senior leaders to ensure that these new hires can demonstrate London Square’s competencies, live our values and have the technical competence to deliver high-quality projects and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Authorisation Process

  • Ensure that the authority to recruit form is correctly completed at the start of the quarter that the role is to be recruited
  • Manage the annual resourcing budget, ensuring that the ATR includes the budget reference number, replacement details or justification for the additional role
  • Hold a meeting with the hiring manager to agree the recruitment strategy
  • Ensure that the ATR is aligned to the LSQ grading framework

Candidate Management through to onboarding

  • Recruitment
    • Recruitment via agencies controlled via the PSL, or agency use outside of this is agreed through special dispensation
    • Direct hire a minimum of 50% of vacancies
    • Promote vacancies internally on a monthly basis and ensure all employees know how to access our live vacancies
    • Screen all applications in line with the line manager brief, job description and person specification
    • SLAs: time to hire & ratio of direct hires
  • Selection
    • Provide interview support to hiring managers
    • Promote interview templates, competency based interviews and accurate recording of interviews, ensuring notes are uploaded to BambooHR
    • Facilitate candidate personality profiling
  • Management of preferred supplier list (PSL)
    • Create and manage the PSL, including LSQ’s agreed agency terms, rates and ways of working
    • Review the PSL annually to ensure that agency performance is optimised
  • Job Descriptions
    • Ensure accurate and up to date job descriptions are available for every role
    • Ensure that JD’s do not directly or indirectly discriminate any of the protected groups
  • Advertising
    • Work with the Head of Communications to plan external recruitment campaigns across social media and LinkedIn, ensuring that these reflect the brand and culture of LSQ and reach the required audience
    • Keep live roles up to date on LinkedIn and the Company website
  • Candidate Management
    • Ensure timely and professional candidate management and ensure that candidates are managed effectively in BambooHR
    • Manage the candidate to offer stage and ensure that any changes in start date are communicated to the wider HR team in a timely manner.
  • Emerging Talent
    • Actively work with the Talent Development Manager to attract and recruit apprentices and graduates
    • Coordinate and attend careers fairs
    • Source candidates from a wider talent pool by engaging with charities and organisations who work with candidates from the Armed Forces, Lone Parents etc.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Significant in-house recruitment experience gained within a fast-paced organisation ideally the construction, property development, engineering or related sectors.
  • Recruitment across a broad range of functions and seniority levels with a proven track record of developing direct sourcing strategies and running recruitment campaigns across LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR systems and using recruitment data and analytics to improve performance.
  • Ability to manage recruitment agencies and PSLs for permanent recruitment.
  • Experience recruiting graduates, apprentices and emerging talent.
  • Track record of continuous process improvement across end to end TA processes.
  • Experience managing and overseeing Contingent Workforce beneficial.
  • Proven ability to build credible and trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience with psychometric assessment tools.
  • Confident in challenging hiring managers constructively when recruitment decisions, processes or expectations are not aligned with business objectives.
  • Able to influence senior leaders and provide professional recruitment advice based on market insight and data.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and agency partners.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills with the ability to adapt approach depending on audience.
