Talent Acquisition Manager
I am working with a newly established government organisation that is entering an exciting period of growth and building the workforce required to deliver its long-term ambitions. They are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition professional to support the development of a high-performing recruitment function and deliver recruitment activity across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of recruitment activity, partnering with hiring managers on their resourcing requirements while also playing an important role in developing the organisation's recruitment processes, employer brand, candidate experience, and talent acquisition capability.
About the Role
This Talent Acquisition Manager role is an interim position paying £375 per day (inside IR35). The role is based near Euston where you will need to be able to attend the office 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and requisition approval through to sourcing, assessment, offer, and onboarding.
- Partnering with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements and provide expert advice on attraction, selection, and recruitment best practice.
- Supporting the development of a scalable talent acquisition function, including recruitment frameworks, policies, processes, and governance appropriate for a newly established government-owned organisation.
- Developing attraction strategies and employer branding initiatives to reach high-quality and diverse talent while delivering an excellent candidate experience.
- Promoting inclusive recruitment practices, monitoring diversity across candidate pipelines, and identifying opportunities to remove barriers and improve representation.
- Using recruitment data and insight, including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness, to monitor performance, improve processes, and support strategic workforce decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
