Talent Acquisition Manager – Build & Shape Our Global Talent Function
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 DOE
Location: UK Remote
Ready to make a recruitment function your own?
We have a fantastic recruitment team, a brilliant Team Lead and a growing global business. Now we’re looking for someone awesome to come in, take the reins and help us build the next stage of our Talent Acquisition function.
This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a finished recruitment machine and simply keep it running. We want you to help us build it.
You’ll work closely with our CPO to look at everything we do across recruitment - what’s working, what could be better and what we should completely rethink.
- Processes
- Candidate journey
- Automation
- Sourcing
- Data
- ATS
- Hiring Manager experience
- Employer brand
- Recruiter development
If there’s a better way of doing it, we want you to find it and make it happen.
And yes - this is still very much a hands-on recruitment role. We want a manager who is happy to jump into a difficult search, speak to candidates, source great people and lead from the front.
You might be an experienced Recruitment Manager who loves being close to the action, or you could be a brilliant Senior Recruiter/Team Lead who is ready to take that next step and build something of your own. Either way, we’re looking for someone with ideas, energy and the drive to create a Talent Acquisition function we can be genuinely proud of.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Get to Own
You’ll become our go-to person for all things Talent Acquisition, with the freedom to shape how recruitment works across the business.
You’ll:
- Lead, coach and develop our recruitment team, creating a high-performing, motivated function.
- Work closely with the CPO to shape our global recruitment strategy.
- Review our current recruitment processes and make them better, faster and smarter.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive recruitment tasks and make better use of technology and AI.
- Make our candidate journey amazing - from first interaction through to offer and onboarding.
- Stay hands-on with recruitment, particularly for technical, senior, niche and business-critical roles.
- Build creative sourcing strategies rather than simply waiting for applications to arrive.
- Develop proactive talent pipelines for the roles we know we’ll need in the future.
- Own recruitment KPIs and use the data to understand what’s working - and what isn't.
- Improve how we use our ATS, recruitment platforms and sourcing tools.
- Partner with Hiring Managers to make sure recruitment is fast, consistent and effective.
- Challenge us when you think there’s a better way.
- Help strengthen our employer brand and how we tell the Flat Rock story to candidates.
- Introduce new ideas, tools and approaches that help us find and hire brilliant people.
- Ultimately, build a fantastic Talent Acquisition department and make the role your own.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re deliberately keeping this fairly open.
You could be:
- A seasoned Senior Recruiter or Recruitment Team Lead who is ready to step up, take ownership of a function and prove what you can do.
- An experienced Recruitment Manager who loves leading people but doesn't want to spend their life in meetings and spreadsheets – you still enjoy recruiting and getting stuck in.
What matters most is that you:
- Have strong end-to-end recruitment experience.
- Have recruited within technology, software, BPO or similarly fast-paced environments.
- Know how to source and engage passive candidates.
- Are comfortable recruiting technical, niche and high-volume roles.
- Have experience coaching, mentoring or managing recruiters.
- Are genuinely hands-on and happy to recruit yourself.
- Love improving processes and finding smarter ways of working.
- Can act as a mentor and coach to our Recruitment Team Lead.
- Are interested in automation, AI and how technology can improve recruitment.
- Understand recruitment data, funnels and KPIs and know how to turn numbers into action.
- Can build strong relationships with Hiring Managers while also being confident enough to challenge them.
- Have lots of ideas - and, importantly, the drive to actually implement them.
- Are organised, commercial and comfortable working in a business where priorities can move quickly.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
