About the job
Position: Talent Acquisition Manager at Holding Company Modeled After Berkshire Hathaway
Annual Compensation: $120,000
Client Name: Tucker’s Farm
Company’s Website: www.tuckersfarm.com
Location: Fully Remote
Start Date: Immediately
BACKGROUND
We are a low-profile, value-oriented holding vehicle modeled after Berkshire Hathaway. The founders/investment team is comprised of value investors from Apollo Global Management ($80bn private equity group) and Viking Global Investors ($50bn hedge fund). We have various portfolio companies or ‘platforms’ (also known as rollups, aggregations, or buy-and-builds). Each platform is capitalized with a long-term equity base and has the sole mandate of compounding cash flows for the long term, primarily through M&A. We have a broad mandate and look for opportunities across industries, geographies and the capital structure, although our primary focus is on rollups.
We are seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Manager to help scale our recruiting function — establishing processes, sourcing channels, and hiring velocity across both our corporate team and our growing portfolio of companies. You’ll partner directly with the COO and portfolio company CEOs to understand hiring needs and translate them into a reliable, high-quality talent pipeline.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
