About Fussy
Hey good smelling! We’re Fussy… about everything in our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to own hiring across the business.
We’ve grown fast and we’re still growing. Right now, hiring is one of the biggest levers we have for our next stage. You’ll be running several live roles across teams, partnering with hiring managers and improving a process we want to be faster, fairer and fussier. 💪🌍
What You’ll Do 💼
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be close to hiring managers, deep in Teamtailor, sharp on candidate experience and calm in the chaos of scale-up hiring.
- Own hiring end to end, from the role brief and sourcing through interviews, feedback and offer to a smooth handover into onboarding.
- Get roles right before they go live: agree the brief, must-haves, scorecard and interview plan with each hiring manager up front.
- Source directly: build pipelines through LinkedIn, referrals and your network so we lean on agencies less.
- Coach hiring managers on structured interviews, scorecards and evidence-based decisions, so we raise the bar without slowing down.
- Run Teamtailor well: clean data, interview kits, completed scorecards, clear candidate comms and simple reporting.
- Look after candidates: keep people informed and excited about Fussy, so every stage feels clear, respectful and human.
- Keep things moving: spot blockers early, chase feedback, push for decisions and give leadership a clear view of the hiring plan.
- Improve as you go: bring practical ideas on sourcing, agency use, candidate experience and interview quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are 🤓
You’re an experienced recruiter who has owned hiring in a fast-moving business. You’re at your best finding, approaching and winning over brilliant people who weren’t looking. You bring structure without bureaucracy, and you challenge hiring managers kindly but firmly. When priorities shift or a candidate drops out, you adapt without losing your sense of humour or your standards.
What you’ll need
- Solid end-to-end recruitment experience, including managing several live roles at once across different teams and levels
- Strong direct sourcing skills: LinkedIn outreach, referrals and building talent pipelines
- Confidence partnering with hiring managers and pushing back on briefs, feedback and hiring decisions
- A good grasp of structured interviews, scorecards and evidence-based hiring
- Comfort using an ATS and recruitment data to track progress, spot bottlenecks and report to leadership
Nice to have
- In-house experience at a start-up, scale-up or consumer brand (D2C or FMCG)
- Hiring across marketing, growth, creative, operations, supply chain, finance or customer roles
- Hands-on experience with Teamtailor
- Managing agency partners and reducing reliance on them
- Training hiring managers or redesigning a recruitment process
This probably isn’t for you if…
- You’d rather work somewhere slower and more predictable, with every role fully defined before you start.
- You’re uncomfortable challenging hiring managers or holding the line on quality.
- You want a purely strategic role, or a purely delivery one. This is both.
