Purpose of Role
To assist the Head of Talent Acquisition with the delivery of the attraction and recruitment strategy, to ensure all candidates have an excellent candidate experience on the start of their journey into TVS as a ‘great place to work’.
To work in partnership with the HRBPs and hiring managers for the specific discipline they are supporting, to provide the best service possible to the hiring community and the candidates throughout the recruitment life cycle.
Identify, source and screen suitable candidates in line with the defined role specifications, submitting suitably qualified and experienced candidates who meet the budget for the role. Conduct initial in-depth screening of candidates for suitability in line with TVS’s values and required behaviour by role definition.
Measure and deliver to personal and department KPIs to reduce the time to hire and manage the cost per hire in line with the wider recruitment strategy. Assist with reporting on the talent acquisition team’s performance and hiring community performance for their area of responsibility in the business.
Represent TVS at employment fairs and careers events throughout the UK, including in-house run events.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
- Support the hiring community with proactive recruitment in their areas, supporting recruitment best practice, advise by role on the best attraction and advertising strategy.
- Advertise roles on relevant job boards determining best ROI by role.
- Proactively approach the market, mapping talent using the ATS as the first port of call for all recruitment across the business.
- Deliver to and report on recruitment metrics and KPIs and work with the hiring community and the relevant HRBPs to ensure delivery to these KPIs.
- To provide strategic guidance and support to the area and discipline they are responsible for based on proactive talent mapping, competitor analysis and sector performance.
- Work closely with the HRBPs and hiring teams to act as internal change agents.
Financial
- Continue to provide significant levels of savings across the business by removing agency spend, with a target of zero spend on BAU recruitment
- Measure the cost per hire, reducing this cost to as low as reasonably possible across all BAU roles

Customer
- Manage internal customers in their area of responsibility ensuring a quality and proactive recruitment service.
- Respond in a timely fashion to the requests by key customers for recruitment support.
- Working in conjunction, on a matrix structure basis, with the wider HR team for delivery on national projects
- Ensure that the customer requirements are met in a courteous, professional manner always.
People
- To gain business buy in and manage the delivery of recruitment projects.
- Work as a key member of the talent acquisition team
- Coach managers and directors within areas of responsibility on the most effective methods and best practice for effective recruitment.
- Deliver, through the network of talent acquisition partners the desired organisational culture and candidate/colleague experience in line with the recruitment and HR strategy

Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Experienced strategic Recruiter across small, medium and large businesses in both an external recruitment and internal recruitment role.
- Demonstrable track record of billing externally and reduced agency spend in internal roles.
- Experienced recruitment partner across all business areas/ functions
- Experience of implementing strategic plans to deliver improved recruitment outcomes and deliver to targeted headcount and project staffing.
- Experience of working collaboratively to deliver the end to end recruitment cycle.
- Dedicated to Internal Customer Service
- Results focused to KPI achievement.
- Ability to recommend, plan & deliver innovative solutions.
- Good Project Management Skills
- Ability to influence and persuade at an appropriate level.
- Ability to manage a large and wide-ranging workload.
