Talent Acquisition Partner - (12-Month FTC)
Location: Flexible - ideally London, Leeds or Manchester (hybrid, around 2 days a week in the office, with flexibility)
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits
About the opportunity
Our client is a large, global engineering and design consultancy. Recently winning several major programmes worth over £100m. To deliver this work they need to grow their data centre teams quickly across the UK and Ireland. They are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner with a strong background in data centre recruitment to lead this hiring for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-profile role with plenty of senior attention. You will be responsible for around 35+ hires in a competitive market. Your work will have a direct and visible effect on how well these programmes are delivered.
What you'll be doing
- Running end-to-end recruitment for roles across the UK and Ireland, supporting new data centre programmes for major technology clients.
- Hiring across engineering and project delivery disciplines, including:
- Technical Design Managers (Project Managers with strong design understanding)
- Technical Designers
- MEP Engineers (mechanical, electrical)
- Civil Engineers
- Data Centre Engineers
- Project Managers

- Building talent pipelines and using your data centre network to reach passive candidates in a competitive market.
- Working closely with hiring managers and sector leaders to understand what each programme needs, then advising on market conditions, salary benchmarks and talent availability.
- Using direct sourcing, networking, headhunting and talent mapping so you rely less on agencies.
- Managing a high-volume pipeline while keeping the candidate experience strong.
- Giving hiring stakeholders clear, regular updates and reporting on progress.
- Working with the wider civil engineering recruitment team and sharing candidates and market insight across sectors where it helps.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Proven experience as a recruiter or Talent Acquisition Partner, with a strong track record in data centre recruitment.
- Experience hiring technical and engineering roles such as MEP, civils, project management and design management.
- A track record of delivering high volumes of hires against tight deadlines.
- An established network, or the proven ability to build one quickly, across the data centre and critical infrastructure sector.
- Strong direct sourcing and headhunting skills.
- Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
- Resilience, energy and a proactive approach in a challenging market.

Desirable
- Experience in-house or agency-side within an engineering, design or construction consultancy.
- Experience recruiting across the UK and Ireland.
- Civil engineering recruitment experience.

Interview process
