About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Editor to join our dynamic team at PA Media Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the creation, editing, and publication of high-quality news content across multiple platforms. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Content Editor will collaborate closely with journalists, data analysts, and digital marketers to ensure that all content aligns with the company's standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field. Proven experience in news editing, content management, or a similar role within a media organization is essential. Strong proficiency in editing software and content management systems is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a thorough understanding of journalistic ethics and standards, are vital. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to analyze data and audience metrics to inform content strategies. A proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure are also important. Familiarity with digital media trends, SEO best practices, and social media platforms will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, the Content Editor will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and editing news articles, features, and reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.
- Coordinating with journalists and contributors to develop compelling content that engages our audience.
- Managing content schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely publication across various channels.
- Monitoring audience engagement and analyzing performance metrics to optimize content delivery.
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into content creation and distribution.
- Assisting in training and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in all published content.
