Got The T-Shirt is a specialist recruitment business focused on all areas of marketing, including creative, digital, media and PR.
We set GTT up after spending 20+ years working in the marketing and agency world ourselves, and we’ve built the business around something pretty simple: knowing the industry, understanding the roles and looking after people properly.
We’re growing pretty quickly, and now we’re looking for someone who is genuinely brilliant at one of the most important parts of recruitment: finding great people.
This isn’t a traditional 360 recruitment role.
You won’t be expected to spend your days cold calling potential clients or building a sales desk. Your job is to understand what we’re looking for, work out where those people are, find them, engage them and help us build really strong shortlists.
And we don’t just mean typing a job title into LinkedIn and scrolling through the first three pages. We want someone who really knows how to search.
What you'll be doing
You’ll work alongside our recruiters across marketing, creative, digital, media and PR roles, helping us find the best people in the market.
That will include:
- Getting properly underneath a brief so you understand who we’re actually looking for, rather than simply matching keywords on a CV.
- Searching our CRM thoroughly and intelligently to uncover people we already know who could be right for a role.
- Using LinkedIn Recruiter extensively to identify both active and passive candidates.
- Using tools such as LinkedIn Hiring Assistant and Talent Insights to build better searches, understand talent pools and map markets.
- Building targeted searches using filters, keywords, Boolean search and other sourcing techniques.
- Using other channels, including Indeed, job boards, referrals and wider online research, when they’re the right place to look.
- Mapping companies and talent pools to work out where the strongest candidates are likely to be.
- Writing personalised outreach that actually gives someone a reason to reply.
- Testing different approaches and learning what generates the best response from different candidate audiences.
- Speaking to candidates to understand their experience, motivations, salary expectations, location, notice period and what they actually want from their next move.
- Building and maintaining useful candidate pipelines for both current roles and future hiring.
- Keeping Recruiterflow accurate and up to date so the information we build as a business becomes more valuable over time.
- Feeding back what you’re seeing in the market, whether that’s salary, candidate availability, competitor activity or why a particular search isn’t producing the people we expected.
- Using AI and technology intelligently to make searching and research faster, without losing the human bit that actually makes recruitment work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
This role would suit someone who already has experience in marketing recruitment, talent sourcing or resourcing and has realised that the candidate side is the bit they’re really good at.
You might currently be a Resourcer, Talent Sourcer, Delivery Consultant or Recruitment Consultant within marketing recruitment who loves finding and engaging people but has less interest in the traditional sales side of recruitment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has worked in marketing or marketing recruitment.
- Is really good with LinkedIn, particularly LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Knows how to find people who aren't necessarily applying for jobs.
- Understands how to search a CRM properly rather than treating it as somewhere to store CVs.
- Can turn a relatively broad brief into a targeted sourcing strategy.
- Writes good, natural outreach messages that don't sound like recruiter spam.
- Is confident starting conversations with people and asking sensible questions.
- Is curious and enjoys digging until they find the person everyone else has missed.
- Is organised enough to work across several searches without letting good people disappear down a black hole.
- Understands that finding ten genuinely relevant people is considerably more useful than finding 100 vaguely relevant ones.
- Cares about candidate experience.

A strong understanding of marketing, creative, media, PR and digital roles is crucial. There’s a world of difference between a Performance Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, Account Director and Creative Strategist, and the better you understand those differences, the better you’ll be at this job.
Experience with Recruiterflow, LinkedIn Talent Insights, Hiring Assistant or Indeed would also be useful, but we care more about how you think and search than whether you’ve used exactly the same technology as us before.
About us
Got The T-Shirt is a specialist marketing recruitment agency.
We’ve spent most of our careers on the other side of the table, working in marketing and agencies and using recruiters ourselves.
When we started GTT, the idea was pretty simple: be the recruiters we wished we'd had. That means knowing the market we're recruiting into, doing a proper job for clients and, importantly, treating candidates like people.
We’re still a relatively young business, which means you’ll be joining at a stage where you can genuinely influence how we do things rather than inheriting twenty years of "this is how recruitment has always been done".
The package
£32,000 - £36,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
There will also be a placement-based bonus scheme, with realistic earnings of around £40,000 OTE.
We work hybrid, with the team generally together in Leeds one or two days a week and flexibility around where you work for the rest.
We also don’t have set working hours during the week. You work the hours that best suit you, as long as the job gets done.
You’ll have access to the tools you need to do the job properly, including LinkedIn Recruiter, our CRM and the latest sourcing and AI technology.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a growing business where being excellent at finding people isn't seen as the junior bit of recruitment.
It's the whole point of the job.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
