Talent Acquisition Specialist – London (6-Month Contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment delivery across the business, managing assignments from role briefing through to offer, onboarding, and post-placement engagement.
  • Act as a trusted recruitment partner to Hiring Managers and senior leaders, providing market intelligence, talent insights, hiring strategy, and advice on candidate attraction.
  • Proactively identify, engage, and attract high-calibre passive talent through headhunting, direct sourcing, networking, referrals, competitor mapping, and targeted search methodologies.
  • Build, develop, and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring requirements across key business areas and specialist skill sets.
  • Conduct market mapping exercises to identify talent pools, competitor landscapes, succession pipelines, and emerging talent trends.
  • Utilise LinkedIn Recruiter, databases, social platforms, events, and professional networks to engage hard-to-find candidates and generate talent leads.
  • Qualify candidates through detailed screening, competency-based assessment, and motivational interviewing to ensure strong cultural and technical alignment.
  • Manage and optimise the ATS, ensuring accurate candidate tracking, reporting, process compliance, and an excellent user experience.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate journey, maintaining proactive communication and acting as an ambassador for the employer brand throughout the hiring process.
  • Drive recruitment marketing initiatives, including targeted talent campaigns, employer brand promotion, social media engagement, and networking activity.
  • Leverage AI-powered sourcing and recruitment tools to identify talent, generate market insights, automate administrative activity, and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners, ensuring service quality, commercial value, and compliance with internal processes.
  • Support wider talent initiatives including succession planning, talent pooling, employee referral programmes, diversity hiring, and recruitment process improvement.
  • Travel regularly across office locations to build stakeholder relationships, support hiring activity, attend recruitment events, conduct face-to-face meetings, and represent the business within local talent markets.

Required Skill Set

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, executive search, recruitment consultancy, resourcing, or headhunting within professional services, financial services, accountancy, or similar sectors.
  • Strong track record of directly sourcing and securing passive candidates through headhunting and proactive search methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple assignments simultaneously across varying levels of seniority and technical specialisms.
  • Expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping, candidate identification, and market intelligence gathering.
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and advise senior stakeholders on hiring strategy, talent availability, and market conditions.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills, with the ability to identify both technical capability and cultural fit.
  • Experience using ATS systems, recruitment technology, and sourcing tools in a fast-paced environment.
