Job Description

Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we’re one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make everyday taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

What You'll Be Doing

To partner with the business to design, develop and deliver talent and performance management approaches, programmes and interventions that build organisational capability, strengthen succession pipelines, and support colleagues through key career transitions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the design and implementation of our approach to performance and career management, including assessment of potential, capability, and bench strength to inform development plans and succession pipelines
  • Contribute to an annual talent review in the organisation to identify capability risks, strengths, and opportunities to attract, develop and retain talent
  • Define and deploy a suite of suitable and effective talent assessment tools e.g., EQI, 360 feedback, managing associated software, platforms, or microsites
  • Take ownership for, track, administer and report on budgets across the whole team, to ensure they are maximised and adhered to, including the overseeing of all purchase orders, cross charges, ensuring accuracy in budget tracking, setting up and managing supplier communications, and working with Finance to ensure budget controls remain in place
  • Lead the delivery, development and evaluation of coaching and mentoring provision, including partnering on associated development tools, managing the technology solution, and driving CPD within the coaching and mentoring community.
  • Report on and evaluate success of talent initiatives, platforms, and interventions to demonstrate a clear return on investment and effective talent management
  • Source and manage suitable external supplier relationships which support talent programme delivery e.g., learning providers, education partners, universities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
