Talent & Development (Senior BP / Manager)

Our client, a leading organisation based in Plymouth, is seeking an experienced Talent & Development Manager / Senior Business Partner to lead the delivery of talent, learning, leadership, and organisational development initiatives across the business.

This is a strategic role focused on developing people, building leadership capability, and supporting the organisation to attract, retain, and develop high-performing talent. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help drive employee engagement, succession planning, and organisational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's talent and development strategy.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify current and future talent needs.
  • Design and implement leadership and management development programmes.
  • Support succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Identify skills gaps and implement learning and development solutions.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Manage learning platforms, development programmes, and external training providers.
  • Use people data and insights to measure the impact of development initiatives.
  • Support organisational change and transformation projects.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  • Proven experience in a Talent, Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing at leadership level.
  • Strong understanding of talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to use people data and insights to drive decision-making.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
