Talent Enablement Partner

Reports to: Talent Effectiveness Lead

About us

Our mission is to deliver joy in every shop, through unbeatable choice, unrivalled service, and reassuringly good value. We’re also on a mission to empower our business with smart technology; we've recently launched our AI Academy, providing a tailored AI learning journey for every colleague.

We’re Ocado Retail, a market-leading joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S, and the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket, ocado.com. Not only is Ocado the only place to shop a full range of M&S food online, it’s also the home to the widest online supermarket range in the UK and champion of small, independent brands. We’re also the brains behind Zoom by Ocado, our same-day grocery delivery service.

About the team and the role

At Ocado Retail, our ambition is to be the destination for top talent, where exceptional people build brilliant careers, achieve peak performance, and belong. Operating within the Talent Effectiveness team, the Talent Enablement Partner is a proactive strategic driver who turns strategy into operational capability.

Moving beyond traditional Learning & Development, you will act as a consultant and capability architect, designing, scaling, and deploying high-impact learning solutions, practical manager toolkits, and capability frameworks that drive high-performing teams. This role supports Ocado Retail’s learning culture, enabling employees to build skills, leadership, confidence and careers through inclusive, accessible and engaging learning.

What you’ll do

  • In-House Instructional Design & AI Innovation: Execute the overarching enablement strategy set by the Talent Effectiveness Lead by designing modern, blended learning frameworks, manager playbooks, and operational toolkits; leverage AI workflows to rapidly produce scalable micro-learning content while making smart, strategic decisions on in-house production versus deploying targeted external partners.
  • Strategic Partnering & Capability Design: Partner proactively with the People Team (Emerging Talent, People & Talent Partners) as well as functional leaders to mine bi-annual talent calibration and operational data for skill gaps, then translate those insights into targeted capability frameworks (Commercial, Customer, Operations) that move the needle on team performance, while directly feeding programme outputs into succession planning and high-potential (HiPo) talent pathways.
  • Manager Enablement & Leadership Development: Own the end-to-end capability journey for line managers and emerging leaders. Design and launch practical, lifecycle-based training (performance management, policy, difficult conversations) and build plug-and-play playbooks that People Partners and managers can pick up and run with immediately.
  • Enterprise Skills Strategy: Architect scalable, cross-functional skills programmes e.g., problem-solving, influence, structured communication as examples, aligned to our Career Framework, unlocking internal mobility while embedding Ocado Retail values (Always be curious, Bring our best selves, Challenge what's possible) and inclusive leadership into every touch point.
  • High-Impact Facilitation: Act as the lead internal facilitator for key organisational initiatives, including new manager bootcamps, feedback workshops, and leadership modules. Facilitate inclusive learning solutions for diverse learners ranging all levels of competencies, using formats such as workshops, webinars, on-the-job learning, digital modules, guides and videos.
  • Impact & Continuous Improvement: Measure what matters. Track adoption, behaviour change and business impact (e.g., manager effectiveness, internal mobility, retention) and iterate programmes based on evaluation data and learner feedback.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
