Job Description
VolkerFitzpatrick offers a range and depth of civil engineering, infrastructure and building services. We contribute to vital parts of the nation's life through projects of strategic importance, while delivering those less visible, yet essential, works required by both private and public sectors. We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a high-impact role for someone who can turn people strategy into practical action, build strong relationships and deliver development initiatives that support current performance and future growth.
- Lead talent management, succession planning and development activity across VolkerFitzpatrick.
- Design learning and development solutions that support engagement, retention and future capability.
- Drive manager, leadership and future talent development programmes.
- Support the early careers agenda, including apprentices, graduates, industrial placements and new entrants.
- Oversee employee engagement activity, including survey outputs and action planning.
- Use data, insight and external thinking to improve talent, learning and development outcomes.

- Experience in talent management, learning and development, or a similar people development role.
- Strong experience of delivering development programmes in a complex or multi-site organisation.
- Knowledge of succession planning, employee engagement and early careers development.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
- A practical, organised and data-led approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
