About The Role
(Part-Time – 30 hours, Remote First)
This is an opportunity to become the go-to talent expert at EC, owning the day-to-day recruitment activity that helps our business attract and secure exceptional people. You'll play a visible role across the organisation, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, find great candidates and deliver an outstanding hiring experience.
As Talent Lead, you'll take ownership of recruitment across permanent, freelance and emerging talent hiring. Reporting to the Head of People, you'll manage our end-to-end recruitment processes, maintain and develop our talent pipelines, oversee our ATS, Teamtailor and build strong relationships across the industry to ensure EC has access to the talent we need, when we need it. While you'll contribute ideas and insight to improve how we attract talent, this is a hands-on role focused on delivering hiring outcomes, reducing agency reliance and becoming a trusted recruitment partner to the business.
Key Objectives
- Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline that supports current and future hiring needs across the business.
- Reduce external recruitment spend through effective direct sourcing, talent pooling and employer brand initiatives.

- Partner with hiring managers to improve recruitment capability, consistency, quality of hire and workforce planning.

Success in this role will be measured not only by hiring outcomes, but by your ability to build sustainable talent communities, improve recruitment efficiency and reduce reliance on external agencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
