Summary

Are you an experienced recruiter or talent professional who is good at finding and engaging high-quality people — and ready for a role with more autonomy, influence, and commercial exposure?

B2E Consulting is looking for a Consulting Talent Manager to help us identify, engage, and build relationships with experienced consultants across our community.

You do not need to be a management consultant yourself. What matters is that you are an excellent recruiter: someone who can search intelligently, engage credible senior professionals, make sound initial judgements about people, and build relationships that last.

You will work closely with B2E’s Capability Managers and Delivery Partners, developing your understanding of consulting talent while helping us find the right people quickly when clients need specialist expertise.

Why B2E Consulting?

B2E is an independent, employee-owned consulting company with a different model from traditional consultancies.

We combine the experience and quality expected from top-tier consulting with a lean, flexible model built around a community of more than 20,000 experienced independent consultants. Clients access experienced expertise when they need it, without funding a traditional consulting bench.

As an employee-owned business, our people share in B2E’s success through our company-wide profit-sharing scheme. We have built our culture around integrity, openness, teamwork, respect, and flexibility, with a strong focus on outcomes rather than presenteeism.

The role is fully remote within the UK, with occasional in-person team or company events (London/South East).

The Role

As Consulting Talent Manager, you will take ownership of sourcing, engaging, and initially screening high-quality consulting talent for B2E client opportunities.

This is not a high-volume recruitment role and it is not a transactional recruitment desk. You will be expected to understand what makes someone credible, engage experienced professionals confidently, and create a strong candidate experience. You will work closely with our Capability Managers, who provide the deeper consulting assessment and determine suitability for specific client requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role also has an important longer-term focus. You will help strengthen B2E’s consultant community, build pipelines in areas of likely future demand, and develop relationships with people we may work with repeatedly over time.

What You Will Do

  • Source high-quality consultants through B2E’s existing community, LinkedIn, referrals, professional networks, internal talent pools, and other relevant channels.
  • Proactively identify and engage experienced professionals, including people who may not be actively looking for their next assignment.
  • Conduct initial screening conversations to understand experience, availability, rate expectations, communication style, and broad suitability.
  • Work closely with Capability Managers and Delivery Partners to understand requirements and focus searches effectively.
  • Manage candidate communications professionally and ensure people are kept informed throughout the process.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines and specialist capability pools aligned to likely future client demand.
  • Develop long-term relationships with consultants so that B2E remains a community they want to work with, rather than simply a source of individual assignments.
  • Maintain accurate, useful talent and recruitment information within B2E’s systems.
  • Identify trends in candidate availability, rates, scarce skills, and market demand, and share useful insight with the wider team.
  • Contribute to wider B2E initiatives where your recruitment and talent-market knowledge can add value.

What We Are Looking For

You will probably have developed your recruitment or talent acquisition experience over the last few years, either in-house or within a specialist recruitment environment.

We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

  • Strong direct sourcing capability, particularly through LinkedIn and professional networks.
  • The ability to engage and build rapport with experienced and senior professionals.
  • Good judgement when assessing people, including the ability to look beyond keywords and CV presentation.
  • Strong screening and interviewing skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, organised, and delivery-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage several live searches and competing priorities at once.
  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning more about consulting, transformation, and professional services.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding that good talent acquisition is about quality, relationships, and outcomes, not simply activity levels.

Useful, But Not Essential

It would be helpful if you have:

  • Recruited consultants, contractors, or other senior professional talent.
  • Worked in professional services, consulting recruitment, or another specialist talent environment.
  • Recruited across areas such as transformation, change, programme delivery, technology, digital, data, or operating model.
  • Worked with independent consultants, contractors, or project-based professionals.

However, we are not looking for someone who already has the consulting depth of a Capability Manager. We are more interested in strong recruitment capability, sound judgement, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.

How the Role Fits Within B2E

The Consulting Talent Manager will work closely with B2E’s Capability Managers and Delivery Partners.

The Talent Manager’s focus is on finding, engaging, and initially assessing the right people. Capability Managers take that further by translating client requirements in more depth, assessing consulting capability, and building high-quality consultant longlists for client opportunities. This preserves a clear distinction between talent acquisition expertise and deeper consulting assessment.

What We Offer

  • £40,000–£45,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • Participation in B2E’s company-wide profit-sharing scheme.
  • Fully remote working within the UK (Ideally South East - commutable to London).
  • Genuine flexibility and a culture focused on outcomes.
  • A high degree of autonomy in how you manage searches and build relationships.
  • Direct access to experienced consulting and business leaders.
  • Meaningful exposure to the commercial side of a growing consulting company.
  • The opportunity to build deeper consulting knowledge and broaden your role over time.
  • The opportunity to be part of an employee-owned business and share directly in its success.
