About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape how the next generation of talent discovers, experiences and joins Rathbones. We're looking for a Talent Marketing & Employer Brand Manager to lead the launch of talent marketing for the Rathbones Institute, our flagship development programme designed to build a world-class pipeline of future talent and strengthen our position as the employer of choice in wealth management.
Joining at a pivotal moment, you'll play a key role in bringing the Institute to life, creating compelling campaigns, content and experiences that attract exceptional people and showcase what makes a career at Rathbones different. Working across Talent Acquisition, People, Marketing and Learning & Development, you'll help define our employer brand, influence how we're seen in the market and leave a lasting legacy through a talent marketing strategy that sets us up for long-term success.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Shape our talent marketing strategy: Take ownership of the Rathbones Institute's talent marketing strategy, defining how we attract exceptional and diverse talent through engaging campaigns, innovative channels and targeted audience approaches. You'll build a sustainable framework that continues to deliver long after the programme launch.
- Lead a flagship launch campaign: Play a pivotal role in bringing the Rathbones Institute to market, designing and delivering high-profile, multi-channel campaigns across social media, careers platforms, events and paid media to drive awareness and attract outstanding talent.
- Partner with industry experts: Work with leading talent marketing, creative and employer brand agencies, building strong partnerships and influencing high-quality work that delivers measurable results and elevates the Rathbones brand.
- Create compelling content that inspires: Bring the Rathbones Institute to life through engaging storytelling, colleague spotlights, videos, social media content and careers site copy that showcase our culture, opportunities and purpose.
- Build our external talent brand presence: Own and develop the Institute's presence across our careers website, LinkedIn, Glassdoor and other key channels, helping to position Rathbones as a destination employer within wealth management.
- Enhance the candidate experience: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and People teams to create a seamless and engaging candidate journey, ensuring every interaction reflects the quality of the Rathbones experience from first touchpoint through to onboarding.
- Use data to drive success: Measure and optimise campaign performance through insight-led decision making, tracking key metrics and demonstrating the tangible impact of talent marketing on attracting and hiring great people.
- Help shape our employer brand: Contribute to the evolution of Rathbones' employer brand and Employee Value Proposition, creating messaging that resonates with different talent audiences while strengthening our market reputation.
- Influence how Rathbones tells its story: Work closely with Communications, Marketing and Brand teams to ensure our talent messaging is aligned with the wider Rathbones narrative and consistently reflects who we are as a business.
- Build relationships across the business: Engage with senior stakeholders, programme sponsors and colleagues throughout Rathbones to uncover inspiring stories, gather insight and champion our talent agenda.
- Create a lasting legacy: This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. You'll establish meaningful processes, partnerships and ways of working that will continue to support Rathbones' talent ambitions well beyond the life of the contract.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
