The Talent Partner
The Talent Partner leads delivery of the Group's talent and performance approach. Their job is to make sure we identify, assess, develop and keep the people who will lead the Group in future, and that performance is managed consistently and fairly in every business. They are hands-on and close to the business, working alongside leaders and managers to make our talent and performance processes simple, credible and well used.
The role covers the full talent cycle. That means running talent reviews and assessing potential using the Future Four framework, building succession plans for our most critical roles, and turning those insights into development and career opportunities for the colleagues we want to grow. It also plays a central part in designing and rolling out the Group Performance Framework and setting these processes up in Workday, backed by the data and insight that give the Group confidence in its future leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
