Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within WNTD's dedicated RPO team, embedded directly into Volta to provide a specialist talent capability that operates as a true extension of the business.
We are looking for an experienced Talent Partner to lead recruitment across Volta's data centre design and construction organisation in Europe. You will help build the teams responsible for designing, constructing and commissioning the AI factories behind The Utility of Compute.
The hiring scope will span design, engineering, construction, project delivery, project controls, commercial management, procurement, commissioning and health and safety. You will work directly with Volta's design and construction leaders to understand each project, technical requirement and delivery milestone.
This is a strategic and hands-on recruitment role. You will build specialist talent pipelines ahead of project demand, advise leaders on the European market and secure the people needed to deliver complex AI infrastructure at speed and scale.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for data centre design and construction roles across Europe
- Partner directly with Volta's design, engineering and construction leaders to define workforce plans and hiring priorities
- Recruit project directors, construction managers, design managers, programme managers and technical leaders
- Build pipelines across electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural and controls engineering
- Recruit specialists across project controls, planning, cost management, procurement, commercial management, commissioning and EHS
- Support hiring for modular construction, prefabrication and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly programmes
- Develop location-specific recruitment strategies for new AI factory developments
- Identify and directly engage candidates from hyperscale, colocation, EPC, consultancy and mission-critical construction environments
- Advise leaders on talent availability, compensation, location strategy and competitor activity
- Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial engagement through to offer and onboarding
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, workforce forecasts and pipeline reporting
- Build a consistent and professional Volta candidate experience across every European market

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
