Reasonable

Reasonable is the applied AI research company building formal verification for super-human software development. Correctness guarantees for software developed by humans and machines are no longer impractical or prohibitively expensive. Code generated by AI can be provably correct, rather than plausibly functional. At Reasonable, we are doing the research, training the models, and developing the products required to make this a reality. Achieving this creates a new paradigm for high accountability software development and unlocks the full potential of AI for professional engineers.

We’re a compact, talent-dense technical team, with deep domain expertise in machine learning, formal verification and mathematical models of program semantics. Join us to build the next frontier of formal reasoning and software engineering.

Proof follows function.

The Role

As our first dedicated Talent Partner, you will play a key early role in Reasonable's growth. You'll work in close partnership with our founders, who are the hiring managers for most roles, and with our Head of Operations, to whom this role reports.

Your job is to run hiring end to end. Sourcing and pipeline building, screening and assessment, interview process, offer and close, with a focus on technical roles: formal verification, machine learning, software engineering, and other deep-tech hires.

At the heart of this role is the high bar and specificity of our hiring. Part of the focus is early-career: interns, graduates and PhDs coming out of the world’s leading University programmes and labs. The other part is very senior: people with deep formal-methods experience in industry, leading ML researchers and practitioners, and people who are rarely on the market and never respond to a template message. We must remain credible and effective at both ends of that spectrum.

A crucial part is to represent our voice and mission to every candidate, as well as review our current recruiting practices and evolve them as we grow past founder-led hiring.

This isn't a role where you're handed a mature pipeline and asked to keep it moving. You'll be defining how we source, how we screen, and how candidates experience Reasonable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll do

  • Own full-cycle hiring for technical and, as needed, business roles: intake, sourcing, screening, process, offer, close
  • Build our early-career pipeline: relationships with university groups and supervisors in PL/FM/ML, intern and graduate programmes, presence at the conferences and communities where our people are (think NeurIPS and their local equivalents)
  • Headhunt senior formal-methods and ML talent from industry: help the founders map the market, tap into existing relationships, and make the case for Reasonable to people who aren't looking
  • Design and run a structured process: interview loops, scorecards, interviewer calibration, so we hire consistently as more people start interviewing
  • Own candidate experience end to end: fast, respectful, transparent, and a credible representation of who we are
  • Keep a light set of funnel metrics (pipeline health, conversion, time-to-hire, source of hire) so hiring decisions are grounded in data
  • Use AI tools: creatively and aggressively across sourcing, outreach, screening and scheduling; we're an AI company, and our recruiting reflects the best of that
  • Set up and own our tooling (ATS, sourcing tools, referral programme) so the function scales without you becoming the bottleneck

We're an early-stage team tackling hard problems, and no two weeks look alike. Our roles require adaptability, but in return we adapt to your strengths. The entry point is advanced recruiting practice, alongside a strong execution-driven mindset.

We're looking for

  • Proven full-cycle recruiting experience, with direct exposure to technical/engineering hiring, ideally at an early-stage or scaling deep-tech startup
  • Comfort at both ends of the seniority spectrum: you've run intern/graduate/PhD hiring and closed senior, passive, hard-to-reach technical people
  • Comfort with sourcing proactively rather than relying on inbound - a real, active network is more valuable than a large passive one
  • Ability to operate in a high-velocity environment and build processes from scratch rather than execute an existing playbook
  • Strong candidate communication: you can represent a technical mission simply, credibly, and in your own words
  • Familiarity with lightweight ATS tools (Workable or similar) and outbound sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, JuiceBox, Gem etc.)
  • Comfort advising the management team on hiring plan and interview process design, not just execution
  • Enough technical fluency (or willingness to get there fast) to credibly pre-evaluate and sell engineering/research candidates
  • Based in Budapest or the UK (London/Cambridge), with the ability to travel between the two

  • Have hired across UK, Hungarian and US markets and understand how comp and expectations differ
  • Have set up an ATS and hiring process at a company that had none
  • Are already using AI tools in your daily recruiting workflow

This is an unusual profile. If that’s you, get in touch. If you are close to it, we still want to hear from you! If you know someone that would be ideal, we always reward great introductions.
