Talent Sourcer / Technical Recruiter - UK, Fully Remote
About the Role
We're looking for a Talent Sourcer / Technical Recruiter based in the UK to join our fully remote recruitment team.
We work with fast-growing US startups, primarily in San Francisco and New York, helping them hire exceptional software engineers across AI, infrastructure, backend and product engineering.
Your main responsibility will be to identify and engage high-quality candidates for hard-to-fill technical roles. You'll own the sourcing process from understanding the search and mapping the market to identifying, approaching and qualifying the strongest candidates.
This is a hands-on, outbound-focused role with the opportunity to grow into full-cycle recruitment and client ownership.
What You'll Do
- Source high-quality technical candidates using LinkedIn, sourcing platforms, Boolean search, referrals and creative research methods
- Build targeted talent maps for software engineering, AI/ML, infrastructure and other technical roles
- Understand what makes a candidate genuinely strong for each specific startup and role
- Write compelling, personalized outreach that generates responses from passive candidates
- Screen candidates for technical relevance, motivation, compensation and availability
- Present qualified candidates clearly and concisely to the team
- Work closely with recruiters and founders to continuously calibrate searches based on feedback
- Manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining a high quality bar
- Track outreach and sourcing performance and continuously improve your approach

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
