Chelsea Football Club is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Women's Academy Talent Pathway Goalkeeper Coach to support the development of young goalkeepers aged 7-12 within our Women's Talent Pathway. Working closely with the Head of Women's Academy Goalkeeping, you will deliver engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions that focus on technical development, confidence, enjoyment, and individual progression. This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who is committed to continuous learning and wants to contribute to one of the leading women's football development programmes in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging goalkeeper coaching sessions for players aged 7-12, aligned with the Women's Academy Goalkeeping syllabus.
- Support the individual development of pathway goalkeepers through structured action plans developed alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that allows players to thrive and reach their potential.
- Review, evaluate and reflect on coaching sessions to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor player progress and contribute to player reviews, Individual Action Plans (IAPs), and development recommendations.
- Assist with the delivery of the wider Women's Academy Goalkeeping Programme as required.
- Support talent identification events and provide reports on current and prospective goalkeepers.
- Ensure every session prioritises individual player development and progression.
- Represent Chelsea Football Club professionally at all times and ensure sessions are fully prepared and organised.
- Act as a positive role model for players, parents and colleagues while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and player welfare.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to provide the best possible player experience.
- Engage fully with an individual coach development plan to strengthen coaching knowledge, skills and practice.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
We're looking for a motivated and reliable coach who is passionate about goalkeeping development and enjoys working with young players. You will be committed to creating positive football experiences, developing your coaching craft, and contributing effectively within a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.
- FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification or FA Introduction to Coaching Football.
- FA Safeguarding Qualification.
- FA Emergency First Aid in Football Qualification.
- A background in, or genuine passion for, goalkeeping.
- Experience coaching youth players and/or goalkeepers is desirable.
- Previous football coaching experience is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to create engaging, safe and player-centred learning environments.
- Reliable, professional and collaborative approach, with high standards of timekeeping and communication.
Desirable Qualifications
- National Goalkeeping Certificate (or working towards).
- UEFA C Licence (or working towards).
- Degree in Sport, Coaching, Physical Education or a related field.
