Octavius are looking to recruit a Talent Sourcer

At Octavius, our people are the foundation of everything we achieve. We're on an exciting growth trajectory and looking for a talented and curious Talent Sourcer to join our high-performing Talent Team.

This is an opportunity to help identify Octavius' future stars, building talent pipelines, uncovering hard-to-find talent and supporting our growth in talent-short markets.

Working alongside experienced Talent Partners and Talent Co-ordinators, you'll learn an integral part of the People function while helping shape the future workforce of our business.

Whether you're a recruiter, graduate, apprentice, returner to work, or simply someone with a passion for people and talent, this role offers the opportunity to develop a career in a forward-thinking Talent team.

This isn't a traditional recruitment role. It's an opportunity to become a talent intelligence specialist, helping Octavius understand where talent exists, how to engage it and how to build sustainable pipelines for the future.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

As a Talent Sourcer, you'll focus on finding, engaging and building relationships with great people before a vacancy even exists.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Researching talent markets and mapping key skillsets across our sectors.
  • Identifying and engaging both active and passive candidates through a variety of sourcing channels.
  • Building and nurturing talent pools for current and future hiring needs.
  • Producing high-quality candidate longlists that help our Talent Partners and Talent Co-ordinators fill critical roles across the business.
  • Using LinkedIn, job boards, networking platforms, AI-enabled tools and market intelligence to uncover hard-to-find talent.
  • Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion objectives through proactive and inclusive sourcing strategies.
  • Providing market insight on talent availability, competitor activity and skills shortages.
  • Promoting Octavius as an employer of choice through candidate engagement and attraction campaigns.
  • Maintaining accurate candidate records within our ATS and talent systems.
  • Continually exploring new technologies, sourcing techniques and AI-driven efficiencies to improve our direct hiring capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
