Position Summary

Based in our Liverpool office within the Talent department, the Talent Systems Analyst is a pivotal role for someone who blends analytical rigor with a passion for optimising HR systems and data to benefit all users.

Key tasks:

  • First-point-of-contact support for Talent Systems users, including triaging requests, troubleshooting, and guiding colleagues.
  • Collaborating with the Talent team to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Creating, maintaining, and analysing reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensuring data integrity through regular and ad-hoc audits and cleansing.

The role requires strong HR systems administration experience, adaptive reporting skills, and advanced Excel proficiency. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality work with precision, resilience, and initiative.


Key Responsibilities

HR Systems and Processes

  • Provide first-line support for Talent Systems, troubleshooting errors and triaging change requests via the shared mailbox.
  • Escalate complex queries to internal/external technical support, ensuring prompt resolutions.
  • Offer training and guidance to ensure system effectiveness, developing supporting resources.
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to assess processes, uncovering automation/process enhancement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through technology adoption, ensuring best practice across all users.
  • Assist with system changes (e.g., upgrades/enhancements) by consulting end-users, testing changes, and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Work with Business Professional teams to define system requirements and workflows.

Data and Reporting

  • Support reporting within SAP SuccessFactors, promoting adoption of best practices.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards to monitor HR metrics and KPIs for the Talent team.
  • Educate report users on available dashboards and tools.
  • Extract, analyse, and interpret HR data, providing insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct regular data audits and cleansing activities to uphold accuracy.
  • Deliver third-party reporting for clients, prospective clients, and external surveys.
  • Handle ad-hoc reporting requests from internal/external stakeholders.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience using HR systems (ideally SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Analytical/reporting work in HR, with a solid grasp of HR processes and people data.
  • Advanced Excel skills: Proficiency in PivotTables, formulas, and data manipulation/transformation.
  • Ability to interpret, analyse, and visualise HR data, driving insightful presentations.
  • Strong work ethic – meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and deliver with precision.
  • Excellence in communication, supporting productive relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Resilience and initiative – tackle obstacles proactively to solve problems effectively.

Desirable

  • Experience working in professional or financial services.
