Counsellor Opportunity at NHS Bury Talking Therapies
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Counsellor to join NHS Bury Talking Therapies. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to adults in need of psychological treatments for mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression.
The role offers the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team committed to delivering excellent patient care and continually improving the services we provide.
- Join a supportive team within a wider service that shares a culture of compassion, collaboration, and care for both colleagues and patients.
- Flexible working arrangements are available to help staff balance their professional and personal commitments.
- Core service hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. However, some appointments outside of core hours may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective counselling for mild to moderate anxiety and depression in line with Talking Therapies evidence-based practice.
- Work as a member of the team and contribute to good team cohesion.
- Undertake safeguarding and risk assessments where required.
